Different songs that merge into one in your mind

The Old Rugged Cross / Home on the Range / Silver Bells

If any of these get stuck in my mind, lyrics and even bits of melody from the others start creeping in, and I find myself humming something like "I will cherish the old rugged cross, and the skies are not cloudy all day..."

What are your examples?

I have a lifelong problem with "Lookin' Out My Back Door" and "Hello Mary Lou, Goodbye Heart." It really does happen so easily.

And of course, "Dissident" by Pearl Jam always acquires the chorus of "Plush" by the Stone Temple Pilots, as a bridge.

"Love's Train" (by Confunkshun)

This has been happening to me lately with "Go With the Flow" by QOTSA and "Maniac" by Michael Sembello.

I can go...with the flow
And she's dancing like she's never danced before

Oh Canada and All You Need is Love

brotherlovesdub, Friday, 18 October 2013 17:12 (twelve years ago)

Basically the only words I know to Oh Canada are Oh and Canada so when I sing it to myself, I sing, "Oh Canada ba ba ba bum buuuuum, LOVE LOVE LOVE, LOVE LOVE LOVE..."

ABBA "Money Money Money" into Minor Threat "Straight Edge"

A man like that is hard to find but I can't get him off my mind
Ain't it sad?
And if he happens to be free I bet he wouldn't fancy me
That's too bad!
So I must leave, I'll have to go
To Las Vegas or Monaco
Always gonna keep in touch
Never want to use a crutch

I've got the straight edge
I've got the straight edge
I've got the straight edge
I've got the straight edge

All week my brain's been playing Ozzy singing "so tired, sooo tired" followed by "and I just can't get enough of your love"...... haven't heard either song in ages....

I've got to get home
Baby, you'll freeze out there
Say, lend me a coat?
It's up to your knees out there
You've really been grand
I thrill when you touch my hand
But don't you see
How can you do this thing to me?
There's bound to be talk tomorrow
Think of my life-long sorrow
At least there will be plenty implied
But When Worlds Collide
Said George Pal to his bride
"I'm gonna give you some terrible thrills"
Baby it's cold outside
