Does anyone know how to reach the current agent or former agent for Color Me Badd? (I realize they disbanded in 1999.)

Light a fire on the beach. Then signal them.

Apparently some guy named Meekahail Muhammad was their manager, if that helps, but it's a dead-end googlewise. Enjoy the recent exploits of two former members:

American Idol season one finalist Tamyra Gray married Sam Watters, a songwriter and producer who was in the early '90s R&B group Color Me Badd, in Capri, Italy, on Saturday, PEOPLE has confirmed.

Gray, 27, and Watters, 36, wed before 45 guests on a cliff overlooking the ocean. The bride wore a gown by Claire Pettibone. After the ceremony, "They walked through the city and townspeople were opening their windows and cheering for them," Gray's manager, Lisa Braudé, tells PEOPLE.

The couple have been together for two years. They got engaged on Valentine's Day when Watters proposed with an antique diamond engagement ring in a platinum setting.

A fan favorite on American Idol in 2002, Gray has ventured into acting – she had a recurring role on Boston Public in 2003, appeared in the 2005 indie film The Gospel and played a waitress on NBC's Las Vegas in March. In 2004 she released an album, The Dreamer.

Since his stint with Color Me Badd, which had a hit with "I Wanna Sex You Up," Watters has worked with partner Louis Biancaniello as a writer and producer for artists including Jessica Simpson (he co-wrote her song "A Public Affair"), Celine Dion and Kelly Clarkson. He also co-wrote, produced and arranged several songs on The Dreamer.

The newlyweds are currently honeymooning in Italy.

Bryan Abrams, a former singer with the 1990s boy band Color Me Badd, is being sued for $16,000 that his ex-wife alleges he owes in back child support.

Shon Gables, a news anchor for WCBS in New York City, filed the lawsuit and appeared in Oklahoma County District Court earlier this week with the singer’s other ex-wife, Ashly Abrams.

The 35-year-old Abrams was one of the founding members of the Oklahoma-based quartet, whose debut album, “C.B.M.,” sold more than 8 million copies. Their hits included “I Wanna Sex You Up” and “I Adore Mi Amor.”

Gables estimates she has spent $10,000 trying to recover support owed by Abrams, who now works in an Oklahoma City tire store.

Gables says Abrams long ago spent all the money he made during his Color Me Badd days: “He has nothing to show for it, except the ASCAP publishing he co-owns with other members of the group.”

wiki sez:
Kevin Thornton has just released a new solo album which features contemporary hip hop/rap material with gospel and soul music. Many songs written and produced by kevin. Kevin now lives in Hobart, Tasmania in order to be closer to his new boyfriend Shaun Anderson who is studying full-time at the University of Tasmania. Kevin has a website which you can find googling his name.

The "brandy lookalike" is gay, imagine that.

I wonder what Mark Calderon is up to. He shares a name with a famous sculptor, so google isn't much help.

That was the cover for their last relatively big single, actually (19 weeks on charts, peaked at #21).

They released one final album after that (not counting the best of) in 1998, with one minor hit. Here's the cover:

***** Good Oldies Of The 90s, July 5, 2006
Reviewer: P. Mistric (Austin, Texas) - See all my reviews

C.M.B. was the first concert I ever went to. I was about 19 years old and I took my younger brother with me. They came to Corpus Christi, Texas. The concert started off bad only because some bad woman behind me stole my purse, but I recovered it later in the trashcan. All she stole was my calculater and $30 in cash. Even with all that, I still enjoyed Color Me Badd. It's more like Color Me Good....sounds funny!!! Anyways, Marc Calderon and I locked eyes several times throughout the show. It was an awesome concert. Too badd, it has ended early for them. I hope they come back one day and surprise us all. This band was different and I never considered them a boy band. They were very under-rated. Great memories for me.

Was this review helpful to you?

They thought it would be smart to get a Jamie Foxx-alike to stay up with the times.

this is all hilariously bizarre for me. i sincerely assumed the band would have dissolved in the early 90s.

trivia time!
my local station that would play this song on the Top 5 At Nine would play an edit of 'I Want to Sex You Up' that replaced 'sex' with 'love'.
i'm supposing that the original was a tad too racy for ol' Chambersburg, PA's radio playlists.
as was Madonna's 'Justify My Love' which they played exactly once.
