There was a Monks film?!

Bumblepuppy (Horbgorbling Slubberdegullion), Friday, 29 September 2006 11:44 (seventeen years ago) link

its £26, and its the same night as the raconteurs, who i've still yet to properly see play live. i'm torn. but i've heard they're still very very good (but i still feel burnt after paying heavy cash for the crummy os mutantes thing)

So, what happened?

Or do I have to wait for Mojo magazine (they thought the Mutantes gig was teh very good).

Silver Apples/ Alan Vega?! I know tribute albums are always bad but look at some of these fucking bands.

Also, let's talk about good tribute albums. The Tzadik tribute to T Rex was really good.

the fall could record like one more song and have an entire monks tribute album themselves.

Holy shit! I didn't even know this existed until now! I was just looking for Monks threads...that's all...

God I've got to hear the Fall doing Higgle...wow.
And Alan Vega is on this too???

I still haven't seen that damn film. I think it got canceled here or I missed it or something. Is it on DVD yet?

Yeah that's a good list of bands!

Telephoneface (Adam Bruneau), Saturday, 28 August 2010 09:46 (thirteen years ago) link

It's okay...I whittled it down to maybe 8 tracks. The MoM and Gudrun Gut tracks are standouts. Silver Apples/Alan Vega is fun.
