Then I usually get a message saying "why did you ban me asshole", which is baffeling. After I explain it, they say they didn't realize they had qued up so much (despite their restarting them)...so my question always is, how did you realize you were banned?

I get banned all the time by people who have no posted rules, and I've never gotten more than an album's worth of tracks in one sitting. To me, these are the hall-of-shamers.

The typical attitude people hold about slsk is a "scratch my back and I'll scratch yours". Look, you don't have to scratch my back...leaving slsk running 24/7 is not work, so no need to return any favors. Just don't be greedy.

Then there are those who gripe about how you organize your files. Ugh.

Never banned anyone; but if I did, it would surely be one of those idiots who keep thousands of files in a single folder. Also, anyone d/ling 5kr3wdriver's (pre-nazi) debut would get immediately banned if a browse of their files revealed any white-power music.

That said, the only thing more frustrating than people who download containing folder all those files are those who continue to do it after they realize what they're doing!

That being said I can sympathize as to being annoyed by it, although I have maybe one or two full albums on my hard drive, and those are just albums with a single or two tracks anyways.

I wish I would've saved the conversation, but I got banned by a user once because I had paid the monthly $5 "donation" to get priority download status. So, uh, I jumped to the front of his list or something and then he castigated me for thinking I was better than everyone else. He was from somewhere in Eastern Europe, though, so his struggles with English were quite comical.
