Blitz were fucking great, your bf is silly. I can understand why people don't like them, they were thick as pigshit and all their songs are about fighting, but those early No Future 7"s kick arse!

Listening to Voice Of A Generation & Second Empire Justice this morning - has there ever been such a change of styles between albums for a band? From Oi/Street Punk to synth laden/Factoryesque doom & gloom. I might just prefer the 2nd album more, actually but they may as well be by two different bands.
