"Bob helped to create the "No Wave" scene in New York in the late 70s, producing artists such as Lydia Lunch and working with producers such as John Cale (of the Velvet Underground) and Jimmy Miller (The Rolling Stones). Bob worked with Tom Verlaine's group Television and helped create music with the Dbs, B52s, The Lounge Lizards, Arthur Russell, Kid Creole and The Cocoanuts, and others.

With his wife, Lola, Bob produced "Over Like A Fat Rat" for Fonda Rae in 1982, a song that has (in addition to topping the R&B charts twice) been used as samples for artists such as SWV and DeeLite. Bob's guitar playing on this and other records points to his early career as a session guitarist. Other productions for artists such as The Necessaries and Lola Blank made him an in-demand producer throughout the 80s"

and now he makes "custom soundalikes"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
