Remember the suggestion that music was most interesting as a reaction against conservatism? That once Bush was elected bands would be shocked out of complacency and would "take it to the streets"? So... how did they do? What are the best and worst?

Sterling Clover (s_clover), Saturday, 21 August 2004 12:31 (twenty-one years ago)

Destroy by the way most of the new voice special "convention" music section which has way too many critics i like too much ending with limp "yeah, he's kerry, but you need to vote anyway" exhortations of one sort or another. Not that I haven't made lame political-tie-ins too, but I've shied away from outright advocacy, especially when it involves things like insisting ppl. have to vote for Kerry. And check hua hsu's "if pac knew about kerry and bush maybe he wouldn't have ended up dead" theory!
