"I have been following this band for the past four years and they still
impress me with how one singer and one guitarist can produce such an
amazing wall of noise. It's like God took the Melvins and Abba and mixed
them up in a bottle and poured the result on stage, the result being the
DeadMen in case you haven't been following the last two sentences."

"the guitars are always out of tune and the singer can't keep a beat to
save his life. need i say more? but at least it is fun. and most of all
free"

I woulda thought it'd be possible for a band to sound like Melvins and Abba. It just takes a little effort.

There's a moment or two on The Bootlicker when the Melvins themselves come close to sounding like Abba.

Nirvana? Some of their lyrics are like "I'm a Marionette"
