Gabriel Rene, West Coast electronica guy, info, suggestions

I found a few random tracks by one Gabriel Rene who seems to be associated with the West Coast Naked Music comps. One song, "Absynthesis" is simply incredible - electronic noir. I've never heard another song quite like it. I checked out some stuff by Afro-Mystik and Migs and Rasoul but none of it seemed to have the same sound to it.

Can anyone suggest good artists / releases in this vein?

I want to find some fun house music but i have a feeling this will be a little too 'jazzy' for me to have much fun. I don't want it to be jethro tull house remixes! Assistance required.
