Sorting your old LPs into Categories...

Once or twice a year, I go through each of my records and CDs and ask myself if I'll every want or need to play it again. If "no", its sent away.

1) Stuff you might play any day now if you didn't have to do so much work for it.

2) Stuff you've been meaning to burn to CDR when you get a chance.

3) Stuff you have on CD, but if the CDs ever go bad, or if CDs become obsolete, you still have an analog copy.

4) Stuff you bought but still haven't listened to.

5) Stuff that you don't really like any more, but it's out of print.

6) Stuff that you don't really like any more, but you might like when you're an old fart and it will be out of print then.

7) Stuff on the table by the front door that you're taking to sell, as soon as you delete them from your database.

8) Stuff in a box in the closet that truly sucks, but it's kinda funny and you could use it on a mixCD.

really good stuff, you really should listen to this. Classics. Originals. Whenever we get kids, they will be so happy when they find out they have a cool dad.
