What the fuck is that all about?

Tom Breihan (Tom Breihan), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:37 (twenty-two years ago)

trolling about a troll, how postmodern.

Felcher (Felcher), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 18:41 (twenty-two years ago)

It seemed to make more sense than just posting on their thread. I'm a bit protective of that band.

NA (Nick A.), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 19:02 (twenty-two years ago)

hating on people to make music to hate on people to

Kingfish (Kingfish), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 19:05 (twenty-two years ago)

whatever happened to the good old rawk dis a la "Range Life". More of that!

Aaron A., Tuesday, 29 July 2003 19:12 (twenty-two years ago)

Whatever, that's fine and all. This is a counter-dis. Which I think is just as valid. Kinda like Smashing Pumpkins refusing to let Pavement play at Lollapolooza. (And did you see Pavement at the next year's Lollapolooza, when there was no Smashing Pumpkins to stop them? Hoo boy, they sucked.)

Tom Breihan (Tom Breihan), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 19:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I second NA's assumption re: hatorade. Change is their classic, yo. D-Plan hate makes me sad.

Though ironically when they played in town for Emergency & I, I'd never heard them and was grossed out by Travis's stage shtick and shocked how fuckin' DMB fan the rest of the band looked (the drummer even had gloves!).

Anthony Miccio (Anthony Miccio), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 20:18 (twenty-two years ago)

Re Smashing Pumpkins vs. Pavement: Malkmus admitted that he was a childish brat and made that whole fiasco up.

That being said, D-Plan is the band that changed the way I perceive music. Not music as in Music, but as in the band that changed the way that I listen to music.

Re Smashing Pumpkins vs. Pavement: Malkmus admitted that he was a childish brat and made that whole fiasco up.

Heh. Why am I NOT surprised.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Tuesday, 29 July 2003 22:54 (twenty-two years ago)

If I hate 2 people, and they hate 2 people, and so on and so on and so on.

Since I haven't really said much on the D Plan in any of the 5 billion threads, I'll say

-1. I like that the singer isn't afraid to actually sing.
-2. He can dance too.
-3. I like the integration of labtops, synths and other technology.

David Allen, Tuesday, 29 July 2003 23:13 (twenty-two years ago)

HATE ME! (but dismemberment plan still are dire).
