I have heard nothing of them 'cept for "Baba Yaga" which is on the Teenage Shutdown - Things Been Bad comp. The track is so fuggin grebt though...

So you aren't talking about the punk rock Pagans... Didn't realize there was a 60's Pagans. I imagine that if they're on the Teenage Shutdown series, then they didn't release more than a 7" or two. And Tim Warren's liner notes are about as much info as you're going to get on them...

I should mention, though, that the other (cleveland, punk) Pagans are probably my favorite punk band ever. Or tied with Crime, anyways. Both of whom I have the aforementioned Mr. Warren to thank for introducing me to their magic.

eleven years pass...

Cleveland punk-rock Pagans have been sounding really good on the car stereo for the last few days.

does anybody have an opinion about the LP on Resonance which was completely remixed (!) and remastered at Noise New York? I think I prefer those versions to the original ones on the Crypt comps, but that's probably because I heard them first.

not heard that. i just have the treehouse comp (buried alive) which is flat-out great - 'street where nobody lives' is top ten us punk imo. had the 80s mini-album too, but that wasn't quite so hot

you gotta hear the S/T 1983 "Pink Album", so good, no overlap w/that comp I don't think
