Nightclubbing is wicked. As is Vamp. But not in the same way.

They dress up as though they are challenging the status quo, but by now, wearing those clothes, pulling those faces, revealing those tattoos and breasts, singing to those fractured, spastic, melting beats – that is the status quo. You are not off the beaten track, pushing through the thorny undergrowth, finding treasure no one has come across before. You are in the middle of the road.

I really like her around Nightclubbing and Warm leatherette.
The Private Life: Compass Point Sessions compilation was pretty good, especially since none of the great material had been remastered for ages when it came out and it had the bulk of the better tracks on it.

Now Nightclubbing has had a Deluxe edition, haven't heard about any of the others getting similar treatment though.
But her with Sly & Robbie etc backing her up in the early 80s was pretty sublime.

most of this has already appeared on the Compass Point Session 2cd set from a few years back.

I looked at the price for those this morning and my wallet still hasn't stopped screaming. $120 for a 4xLP, $52 for a CD, and the Francois Kevorkian mix only on an audio blu-ray? Madness.
