I'll stand up for Jeffery, it's his most consistent and the highs are the highest

Pffft. Tour > Barter >>> Jeffery. Jeffery is good but hardly essential.

Tha Tour isn't the best example of what makes thugger distinctively amazing but it's by far the strongest project he's been on.

so much nuance steamrolled into a strict ranking it feels like violence to my love for each of these

barter: most consistent in vibe (in part this is from modest length + Wheezy producing 8/13 tracks), first full project to display the more subdued, mature lyricist side of Thug we now know and love so well. a few extreme highs ('just might be', 'constantly hatin') that blew my mind when i first heard them and made me think he Just Might Be a whole other level of genius, a promise he has (imo) not (yet!) followed through on

tour: quite a bit too long (back half kinda drags nb the version i have on my computer includes bonus tracks + whos on top) but damn if this isn't one of the most sure-to-put-me-in-a-good-mood, most joyful, most liberated (who's to sayhow long a verse can be? on his best verses (givenchy my #1) thug sounds like he would go on forever) pieces of music i've ever heard.

jefferey: kind of the opposite of barter: every song sounds like it could be a smash single, most colourful & varied production of the three tapes. its brevity helps it in this regard but i probably know every lyric and adlib. gets me proper excited as a vision of where he's going *next* without exceeding aforementioned expectations set by 'just might be'

Flopson summed it up perfect. And these were the three to poll; along with icfn2 and 1017 they are the only Thug releases you need.

Voted Barter because Constantly Hating
