hey so there's this boston band called bad rabbits who i had always been familiar with as a glossy r&b group who hung out with a lot of emo bands for some reason. as far as i know they've been recording two albums at the same time over the past few years, one of them an unreleased album produced by teddy riley called american dream, and the other a more straightforward rock record called american nightmare, which surprise-dropped last week. i'm guessing there's a good reason they dropped the angrier album first, and it really clarified for me why they've been on warped tour so often. i also really love it but expect that many people will haaaaaate it. ymmv

American Nightmare is completely bonkers. Some of it is terrible ("My Song") and it could definitely use a punchier mix but I'm certainly...intrigued

huhhhh interesting, I can't say I've heard these genres combined this way. this is def better than what I've heard from them in the past, which seemed kinda pro forma
