obviously i expect "Addictive to Love" and "Are You Going My Way" to be the frontrunners here

I felt bad about mocking these guys until I got to the picture where one of them is wearing a "musician looking for groupies" t-shirt.

i guess i'm mocking the typos but really i have no beef with Fake ID

other than that this is ILM voting for lists of things fan service

Are they working musicians or charlatans?

emil.y has already noted that at least one of them is wearing charlatanic signifiers

OshoKosho B'Gosho (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 20 September 2015 12:16 (eight years ago) link

this list feels like the great coverband songbook for non artist-specific acts working in the UK today btw

OshoKosho B'Gosho (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 20 September 2015 12:18 (eight years ago) link

True and their name suggests a cheeky inclination towards intoxicants and ephebophilia xp

^this is the new "cheeky nandos" btw

cheeky catamite

OshoKosho B'Gosho (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 20 September 2015 12:22 (eight years ago) link

ok now that's a band name

OshoKosho B'Gosho (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 20 September 2015 12:23 (eight years ago) link

xxxp then surely 'My Sharona' is the (in)appropriate choice?

"Tell them I'm in a meeting purlease" (snoball), Sunday, 20 September 2015 13:22 (eight years ago) link

but really i have no beef with Fake ID

You could try a beef with Redhill's Bifteck*. Although they might have split up as their Facebook page hasn't been updated in 18 months.

(* yes really. Someone thought that naming a band after the French word for 'beefsteak' was a good idea.)

"Tell them I'm in a meeting purlease" (snoball), Sunday, 20 September 2015 13:28 (eight years ago) link

Oh and their setlist is really redundant, because if you absolutely had to hear one of these songs, then you could just tune into Eagle Radio and likely be treated to several of them within an hour.

Automatic thread bump. This poll is closing tomorrow.

one year passes...

then you could just tune into Eagle Radio and likely be treated to several of them within an hour.

As an experiment I went to the Eagle Radio website's 'recent tracks' section and they played 'Teenage Dirtbag' less than half an hour ago.

Zings Can Only Get Better (snoball), Saturday, 8 July 2017 19:30 (six years ago) link

three years pass...

This band - or at least their website - no longer exist. And neither does Eagle Radio, having been subsumed into the Greatest Hits Radio behemoth.

Broke up over creative differences no doubt.
