autopsy is decent imo. voted for it but mostly because autopsy coasting is still enjoyable enough.

eh, plenty of goregrind is topping them these days, they aren't bad by any standard but should recognize they represent an older aspect of the genre and perhaps focus putting out their older, previously unreleased material like they did in the early 2000's.

Anyway so yeah, I'm already looking forward to 2015, Melechesh and Lost Soul especially. I would love to be totally surprised by this Marduk album that's coming but I fear they're never gonna recapture whatever they were on during Romans 5:12. But please prove me wrong, Marduk!

Supposedly Leviathan has a new one on the way, too. Despite all the baggage, I'm hoping for something interesting.

Yeah, Tibi et Igni is excellent. Lots of fun, not "experimental" or "progressive" to any discernible degree, just kick-ass thrashy death metal delivered w/ utter conviction (and a bit of unintentional humor). Probably not gonna displace De Profundis or Litany or w/e as anyone's very favorite Vader album, but damn near peerless in its niche. Problem w/ having been on a roll for 20-some years is that you never get to have the glorious comeback that makes everyone take notice.

Lol, missed Siegbran's comment. Best since Litany? Maybe so, but I don't know that it's such a massive improvement over, like, Impressions in Blood and Welcome to the Morbid Reich.

Haven't heard (or heard of) Piss Vortex. Not typically a grind fan, but curious...

...and shit yeah, Gorguts loom large, right there in the opening track's guitar tone. Good but mostly affirms my not-grindness. HC vocal bug.

Of the few grind records I've heard this year, I like the Brutal Blues album a lot more. The 'psychedelic' tag is weirdly fitting.

fuck, this brutal blues ep is killer! half the "psychedelic" seems to consist of vocal echo, but i love the manic repetitions, lazer streak guitars, natural-sounding kit, everything. never liked noxagt half this much.

also, was superstupid to cut alraune's the process of self-immolation from my list at the last minute. devastating album.
