my ipod had an amazing run while driving around Chicago once, it had a through-line of West African-sounding percussion in electronic-ish music. i'm sure i have a lot of that to choose from, but the best moment was going from this Tied + Tickled Trio interlude to a Califone track that i never, ever listen to. it was totally seamless and i had no idea what was happening, i think i congratulated my ipod out loud.

70 minute recording of cars occasionally passing over cattle grids -> GYBE - Moya
this was so good I'm not sure it can be beaten. Genuinely thought the opening drone was part of the cattle grids recording for over a minute - some strange agricultural machine slipping slowly into earshot...
