Taking Sides: New Order v. Joy Division

This thread demands that I divulge my dirty secret - I always liked New Order more. Even when Joy Division were all the rage with the people I was hanging with, I always preferred New Order.

But as I've said elsewhere on this board, most Joy Division has aged amazingly well. I appreciate them more now than ever, but I can't play "Closer" anymore. That's the only problem. There's just some mental block there, even though I know it's a brilliant record.

I just want to clarify that a bit, though, what I mean is I was introduced to JD and NO at the same time, so even though these people, much older than I were telling me JD was better, I still didn't feel that way.

I know this is gonna get me flamed but, outside of a handful of songs, JD really kind of annoys me.
New Order all the way....i even like alot of their 90's stuff!
