I'm really hoping someone does a cover of this with just vox and acoustic guitar, it's too good to remain just another soundalike Benassi track.

Janis Ian's "At Seventeen" is a real weepie.
And two of the uncoolest #1 hits of all time: "You Light Up My Life" and "Seasons In The Sun"

'Eternal Flame' is a total mover, never thought of it as corny, but it is.
Did Let Loose do 'The Best In Me'? Because that one really MOVES me.

"Goodbye" by the Spice Girls. As I've said many times, the b/vox on the chorus are utterly superb.

My own nomination? "The Living Years" - Mike & The Mechanics. Corny, designed to tug at your heartstrings, and actually does so, against all my better judgement.

also, in addition to the Lauper/Hooters Time After Time, there is a totally different Whiffenpoofs Time After Time that totally chokes me up:Now that our love can never beMore than a wistful memoryI try not to fall in love with youThough time after time I do

And "Time After Time" is my Cyndi Lauper pick too. It hits that right note of knowing there has to be a change but wishing it wasn't so ... similar to Ween's "Birthday Boy."
Todd Rundgren's "I Saw The Light" is perhaps my favorite ebullient song about love.
Eric Carmen's "Never Gonna Fall In Love Again" is a true heartbreaker.
Plus Dusty Springfield's version of "24 Hours To Tulsa" ... she lingers on the backstory while trying to muster up the courage to say goodbye, and you can hear the struggle in her voice.

I just heard the Tony B / Gaga version of "Nature Boy," which my dad used to sing spontaneously (and make himself cry) when i was a kid.
Who is this Nature Boy? A sprite, a deity?
