From that interview last July:
It has been very surreal, having this music that’s mostly meant to be played in a club, be released. On the one hand you could say that it’s a bit of a waste. On the other hand, it’s all music I cared very deeply about, and the response has been phenomenal.
The thread has failed to keep track of his stuff for two years, and he really was cranking it out ahead of the pandemic:
Jul 2019: Lone Dancer EP ("solo" disco-y sample-based) (beatport link - others are bandcamp)
another non-album single out next week, as a duo with Man Power called Juan Power - one of the b-sides is a remix of an otherwise unreleased track, so presumably there's more to come
They had another six tracks intended for two EPs to launch a proper label, and dropped them as one BC-exclusive LP at the start of lockdown:
Mar 2020: THE JUAN POWER LP by Juan Power ("limited to 1000 downloads")
May 2020: Manthony EP ("solo" synthy techno)
May 2020: Yearning To High ("solo" on Alone Together comp)
Jun 2020: Here In The Twilight EP (acid house with disco leanings)
Dec 2020: Disco Stallion (mogadon house on Correspondant label comp)
Mar 2021: Ritual Device ("my long form ambient LP ‘Ritual Device.’ Intended for journeying during altered states of consciousness or inducing them.")
Apr 2021: I Can't Explain EP:
(“I produced every track on this EP under the influence of some type of psychedelic, mostly LSD. They are long, linear tracks that were composed after weekends of head down dancing in dark clubs, meant to induce the type of trance that comes from repetition and a certain kind of moodiness. They also have a bit of old school House flavor to them, with the looping of mangled 1 bar Disco samples. Per usual with these kinds of tracks, they were in my DJ sets for a couple of years as I fine-tuned them, and I end up getting very attached to them, particularly when other DJ’s start asking about them, and then I get to a point where I actually don’t want them released! But when Man Power asked if he could release them on Me Me Me, I immediately agreed, as I knew they would be given a sort of care and support that would make me happy to have them released into the world, as opposed to feeling they would just be released into a black hole.”)
Apr 2021: Grit / Unanswered (deep house collab w/ Amtrac)
Apr 2021: Under Pressure ("solo" on Hand To Hand comp)
Apr 2021: Skies Open ("solo", as above)
Apr 2021: Chopper ("solo" on A Lot of Love comp)
plus remixes released just during the pandemic:
Mar 2020: Club Tularosa - Starlight Ceremony (Juan Maclean Remix)
Apr 2020: Birds Of Pandæmonium - The Night (Juan Maclean Remix)
May 2020: Man2.0 - In The Vacuum Of Noise (The Juan Maclean Remix) (youtube link)
Jun 2020: Ferrari - Talk (Juan MacLean Remix)
Jul 2020: The World Wild Web & Tritha - Prophet (The Juan MacLean Remix)
