i don't know if i'll vote since i mostly only like the emo-adjacent stuff but i'm looking forward to this

i haven't voted in an ilm non-year-end poll in a very long time (maybe ever?) but i am all in on this one

that's tricky, there's a buncha bands/records of that era that I'd prefer to classify as "rainy midwestern indie" (see also 764-HERO and early Modest Mouse)

I think I do have to quibble with classifying something as emo that no one would have called emo at the time.

(if we're talking about something that actually was released in 1994)

I mean, that's also the Meadowlands issue.
