they are not very interesting, but sound a lot more professional than most of the no-hopers on this thread?

probably better than all of their listed 'influences' with the exception of U2 tbh

They look like same type of people you can/could see wandering down Camden High street at any point in the last few decades, with their regulation painfully tight bollock cruncher jeans and winklepickers.

"Anthemic choruses and shimmering guitars reminiscent of U2 in their prime, Judas are the real
deal. If you're looking for an antidote to unambitious guitar bands, get on them."

The Assist are a 4 piece indie/alternative band from Walsall. The lads have a huge passion for real music, and their honest, hard hitting lyrics speak for themselves. It’s music that anyone can identify with from sing along anthems to infectious guitar riffs.

If you like your indie rock served with an energetic finish and a midlands accent, The Assist will effortlessly float your boat.

TBH I'm hard pressed to think of something drearier sounding than indie rock with a midlands accent.

Birmingham band HANKKS channel the best indie rock and roll that has come before them into new single, ‘Stepping Stone’, to create a pleasingly refreshing tune, with a frontman who even looks a little bit like early Arctic Monkeys’ Alex Turner.

In what are early days for this new band they have brought out a single which electrifies from the first few bars of drumming. Even after multiple plays the groovy guitar hook that bursts in after the intro and plays through most of the song is very infectious and memorable. The song has assured and abrasive vocals echoing Liam Gallagher, and lyrics that are original enough, even though thematically simple, to have sing-along value. A confident instrumental two thirds of the way through makes the whole package seem like a very professional rock song.

It’s certainly fair to say that if this band continues to bring out songs of this standard, they could be playing to gradually increasing crowds in the future; and with each show posing the question “Do I really love you, or are you just my stepping stone?”

With the sorts of haircuts Paul Weller has unleashed over the few decades he should not be giving anyone style advice.

trying to decide what's funnier, hyping the band based on the frontman's passing resemblance to the way a guy in another band used to look, or based on the song still being listenable "even after multiple plays"

...Bonding over their mutual love of football and music, the brothers formed a friendship, owing especially to their shared taste in British giants like the Arctic Monkeys, The Beatles, Libertines, Oasis and The Jam. After several jamming sessions that took place in the dying days of 2010, The Sherlocks were born...

Their debut single 'Live for the Moment' peaked at number 91 in Official UK Singles Chart, while their second single, 'Escapade', hit the charts at number 45...

Unafraid of a big, rousing tune, the band have achieved an astonishing amount without label support up to now. Post the recent explosion in Radio 1 support - Greg James during daytime has been raving about them, Huw Stephens called them 'astounding and they’ve just been confirmed for BBC Introducing at SXSW - the offers are starting to come flooding in. And with nearly 20,000 Facebook likes already, all earned from nearly a year of hard touring, 2016 looks set to be an exciting year.

“Hard work is what we are all about” says drummer, Brandon “We love playing live, we will play anywhere we can. We just want to get our music out there and see the reaction of the fans”.
