Has anyone here interviewed Beth Ditto in the past 6 months?

thanks for pointing it out, it's been some years since i read it so it was nice to crack it open just now. that book is a beautiful compendium of every stupid thing ever said in new york, from then until the end of time (since people keep saying stupid things). it's so good.

i can't tell if she uses 'radical' to mean 'totally awesome and gnarly' or 'scarily extremist and revolting'. she's wrong either way.

Beth confirms she's like, radical but not toooo radical:

I would say dudes are progressing at the same rates as other men, so some of the old maxims don't necessarily apply to today's gay.

i mean she probably is a lesbian but i wouldn't put it above someone her to pretend and/or "go along" w/ being a lesbian because it gets her on the cover of nme and urb or whatever.
