Listening to Orbital's remix of The Orb's "Huge Ever-Growing Pulsating Brain that Rules from the Center of the Ultraworld" didn't help.

It's more confusing than this: there is no such thing. Before the group Orbital came along, The Orb used to call the remixes they made for other people (and themselves) "Orbital Something Or Other Mix" and "Orbital Twee Nonsense Mix"

I don't know if it belongs in this thread or not, but...

Someone once told me they found a Lambert, Hendrick and Ross CD filed under The Supremes at Tower Records.

The Bill Evans confusion was mentioned upthread: the more famous Bill Evans was a pianist who played with Miles in the 50s, the other Bill Evans a saxophonist who played with Miles in the 80s.

I disagree with Ian, above, who suggested this was the worst thread in ILX history. It may not be ILX at it's most insightful, but there are some inspired moments. I don't know why it's so funny but I can't stop laughing at Tim Buckley/Timbuk 3.

Once had a 'conversation' about music that quickly degenerated into such obtuse nonsense that I thought one(or both) of us were going insane. Turned out that the other guy thought I'd cited 'Counting Crows' at the beginning of the discussion, when I had really said 'Cannibal Corpse'
