I did hear the Lea Anna version at the time and I like it as well, hers has a bit more bounce to it but I don't really care about which of them gets to have the hit, I'm just happy the song has made it into the wider consciousness.

Could probably do without the half-arsed Popcaan verse though.

yeah it's more redundant than really massively inferior, i liked lea-anna's languor and sparer production better too

hmm idk i got out-of-breath raggedness more than languor out of the og... doesnt seem any mystery why the smoothly reshaped dainty glide would become the postcard summer hit instead, it's nicely breezy

popcaan hits a just-so note of undertow also
