I made a Muxtape with a "vocal harmony" theme, but I'll be damned if I can track down the playlist now.

If someone could remind me of some of those mid-80s big-harmony songs, I'd be greatly appreciative. Like I said before, Journey (along with some hair-metal bands) is the template for this sound.

(I'm trying to remember what I should download from the Sony drop on eMusic, and this thread will help).

They covered country songs earlier in their career and this was when Diana was much rawer and "soulful." Their voices have this interesting clash as if they are struggling with sharing the spotlight (as much like they did in real life). It's also strange how soul musicians and country musicians covered each other a lot during this time.
