I have a feeling she means radical like "an amazing new concept". Kate is such a pioneer.

thanks for pointing it out, it's been some years since i read it so it was nice to crack it open just now. that book is a beautiful compendium of every stupid thing ever said in new york, from then until the end of time (since people keep saying stupid things). it's so good.
