JC was awesome when I saw him tour behind that album.

Josh in Chicago, Saturday, 16 March 2013 21:33 (eleven years ago) link

that whole article should just be those 2 pictures and the caption "this is what JC's hair looked like when he launched his solo career"

✞ Only God can judge me ✞

That's bullshit (yeah I'm addressing you and your fake accounts).

JC only never made it because he never made a pact with the new world order. All these illuminati filth enablers will rule the world, but will burn in hell. JC is better left out of this insidious industry, while his peer JT will have to sacrifice his love life (Britney) for his career (Cry me a river). This is truly a disgusting world †

Wow. It's not that I doubt Joey Fatone knows what he speaks of re: NWO, but you just wonder about the timing.

Cunga, Saturday, 16 March 2013 22:08 (eleven years ago) link

ok that's hilarious that JC is writing Backstreet Boys songs now

"i admire the balls it took to make this record. cause he coulda easily urshurd his work in and made diplo his teddy riley to 20/20's dangerous instead of sticking with timb's Quincy. feel me?"

i admit i like it when ?uest writes like he's on ilx

off the air now isn't it?

If Boehner's boner ever had a boner for another boner (forksclovetofu), Sunday, 17 March 2013 20:44 (eleven years ago) link

that is horrible news. i thought they were casting the next season soon.

kaygee, Monday, 18 March 2013 02:10 (eleven years ago) link

heard the record at a friend's house today, sounded better than i expected but i still gotta sit down with it one-on-one.

Stephen Thomas Duttywine (some dude), Monday, 18 March 2013 02:15 (eleven years ago) link

most of the record is in my head more or less all of the time now

the stretch from "don't hold the wall" to "let the groove in" is heavenly

'mirrors' remains amazing

乒乓, Tuesday, 19 March 2013 15:43 (eleven years ago) link

the little prince of inane false binary hype (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 15:56 (eleven years ago) link

the JC songs are undeniably cool & bizarre & interesting but he's so weak as a lead vocalist that it's not surprising at all that his solo career never got off the ground

Jimmywine Dyspeptic, Tuesday, 19 March 2013 16:24 (eleven years ago) link

He's ugly and can't sing. It's obvious why he didn't have a career, no?

yep

During the 1999-2000 era – before the Long Frosted Bangs Phase – he was the cutest imo

the little prince of inane false binary hype (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 16:44 (eleven years ago) link

Those JC cover images look like fake ones made for a movie whose main character is pop star "JC Chasez."

your fretless ways (Eazy), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 16:52 (eleven years ago) link

what do "JC" stand for – Jesus Christ?

the little prince of inane false binary hype (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 16:53 (eleven years ago) link

huh i'd never heard "until yesterday" before! seems like it was the lead single from the still-unreleased second album

JC was kinda skeevy, that's def true and i seem to remember comparing him unfavourably to JT at the time for this, but his vocals aren't especially weak? his solo career didn't take off because he wasn't as charismatic (and throughout the entire history of nsync it was obv that JT was the chosen one) but also because he was working in more dance/electronic styles that weren't as trendy back in 2004. pretty sure he could've got a hit in the UK with the right push - well, he kind of did with this INCREDIBLE basement jaxx single

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHA4vqHfbIg

i forgot he co-wrote this brilliant girls aloud album track, too

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fup8-HRPPYk

certainly think JC was the more musically adventurous - JT is way way way in thrall to the idea of the "classic" to ever really surprise any more

flamenco drop (lex pretend), Tuesday, 19 March 2013 16:57 (eleven years ago) link

shocked JT's career survived these looks:

I always thought it was funny how Ned and Dan P. used to stan for JC Chasez while making digs at JT.

jaymc, Tuesday, 19 March 2013 17:12 (eleven years ago) link

jt confirmed there'll be a 20/20 experience part 2 later this year and said it is inspired by thom yorke and will be in the vein of "blue ocean floor"

someone wants another p4k bnm

prolego, Tuesday, 19 March 2013 17:12 (eleven years ago) link

'plug it in' is my main reference point for JC, not my favorite cut from that record but he's good on it.

i'm digging this.

it's kinda "jammy"! but i guess you can't call something that's constructed on computers etc "jammy" but it feels jammy
