"summer breeze", the record and the song, puts the S back in soft rock.
TRUTH! this song: classic. wasn't it used in a key scene in dazed & confused?

totally classic! is it an outlier or do they have entire albums with treats like that?

"hummingbird" is better. they used to play concerts and treat their audiences to hog-calling and throat singing exhibitions: classic. when roe v. wade came down they started doing songs about how terrible abortion is. dud.
in general soft rock's origin story, which seems to be kind of an evolution from the 1960s folk rock duos, and particularly simon and garfunkel, is one that interests me. most of those '70s soft rock duos are weirder than we give them credit for these days.

They used to stick around after the show to meet and greet with anyone who wanted to discuss their Bahai faith.

Had a college friend who was way into these guys. Easy to make fun of but solid tunes and performances and production.
