hmm. there also appears to be a dick hovering between the two girls in the black and white picture.

To clarify.... If somethingawful is indeed doing what I suspect, and implementing a script that periodically switches the data of that file in question, I will nominate them most brilliant website in the universe.

somethingawful is a pretty important website in terms of net junk. they popularized haxor speak quite a bit, they started that all your base crap, and are the precursor to the photoshopping sites like beta

BC is OTM. I've been a fan of their site for quite a while, and the idea that they might want to stave off net traffic in the form scaring people from directly linking to their pics using this strategy increases my respect for them in powers of ten.

which is an evolution of SA's old trick of sneaking the goatse man onto unsuspecting computer screens everywhere

eleven years pass...

nakh was making some interesting points about (mostly uk) indie and its post-millennial stagnation & dissociation from 'serious music' in a protracted recombination and refinement of revered tropes

it is my challenge to demonstrate that a few indie acts have slipped through the net of record-collector triteness

...without necessarily challenging his overarching cosmology of uk indie post-1985

r they indie tho

they strike me as closer to some (positive) compromise between pop and avant-electronic. they're very strange

maybe they're just a good indie band

really really like last year's teleman album

it is fairly simple indie pop but there's something elegiac & genuinely depressive about it that transcends its source materials, also it has 'lovely melodies'
