To the exact point -- they've reunited and will be playing out this year, apparently.

playing Central Park on Saturday, June 11 at 2:00pm with KING and Deva Mahal for a free show; this is definitely high up on my "things I'm excited about" list.

That the Message 2cd is pretty cool. 1st 3 lps plus a couple of tracks I think.
Not sure it's still around but pretty good anyway.

i've really really loved "willy's headache" after it (also) came up on my spotify recs several times but haven't been able to get into anything else

seems to be one of their less heralded songs but it's so good

Co-sign. One stop shop. Alltimer.

(And not obscenely priced. But all of that material is also on streaming.)

Yep it’s selections from the first 3 (not 2) that show up all the time when I’m listening to certain Spotify playlists. I should pick this up

"The classic British funk band you don't know"

Nothing against the article, and thanks for the link, but I hate presumptuous, patronising headlines like this.

This is just anecdotal, but I feel like over the last decade or so "Brothers on the Slide" has become more of a retro-funk staple — I hear it on the radio and even out in stores and so forth.

"Brothers on the Slide" deserves all the recognition it gets.

Anyone knows if the self titled album will get a 50th anniversary reissue? I’ve been wanting to have this album on vinyl for years but every copy I’ve found is prices very high.

their new record label promises "special reissues of their back catalog," but doesn't specify format.

'Bra' is used very effectively in Joachim Trier's The Worst Person in the World, as a signifier of groovy Dadness and in acknowledgement of a tune that p much everybody can get down to.
