"I wanna reach out and touch the sky!": Black Sabbath's Volume 4 POLL

'tomorrow's dream' really has a lovely groove to it. hopefully that gets some votes.

I love sabbath but when I listen to "supernaut" I start to think my copy of vol 4 has a different version than everybody else's, you all have got mysterious access to this secret awesome song

Maybe the things that make Supernaut great are slightly different from the things that make Sabbath great. I kind of like a few Sabbath things, but I LOVE Supernaut!

Also, really fun guitar riff to play.

The acoustic guitar and percussion breakdown is just so good.

snowblind is such a great cautionary tale about being sure to take your warmest jacket with you when you go out into the snow

Gonna join in the Supernaut love. I wrongly thought the only good Black Sabbath was Paranoid until I downloaded that song from Audiogalaxy, so it's pretty much responsible for me getting into them in the first place.

Any answer *other* than "Supernaut" is laughably wrong.

didn't vote but I would have voted "Cornucopia" in a heartbeat, without a blink, it's so clearly the best track on this album. but I was taking a break from ILX and didn't even see this. Too bad. Laughable at all the knee-jerk "Supernaut" votes. Must be a lot of big James Gang fans. Cool track, but nothing like the ridiculous majesty of "Cornucopia" and "Wheels of Confusion".

I disagree, I really dislike the trebly sound of this record. The worst sounding of the essential Ozzy Sabbath records for me.

Then you must not like the first two either ?

I prefer it to the thick brown mud of the third. But I guess that was the point.

No, I like the sound of the first two Sabbath records just fine. They sound great, and are both considerably less trebly than Vol. 4 ... it probably sounded amazing to the band at the time, though.
