that's an ok list but putting Kylesa at 25 and the new Agalloch at 33 is ridiculous... both of those are definitely top 10 albums.

As I said on the other thread, the Agalloch was out quite late so it didn't have time for it to sink in with a lot of writers. the el wiz was different because british legendary band etc would have been anticipated. Agalloch do not have that profile.
dj mencap im sure will be able to tell us when the list deadline was.

I liked the Julie Christmas album a lot, although not as much as The Ruiner but didn't nominate it because:

1) I heard a leak and didn't know whether it was a 2010 or early 2011 release

and

2) figured it wouldn't pass the R U Metaall test for inclusion.

I just stumbled upon it a few days ago and it certainly would fall in my top 10, but I could see where it wouldn't pass the Metal test.

I assume it's a 2011 release and that is why no-one nominated it.

I have no idea when/if the Julie Christmas will have it's physical release, but the MP3s went up on Amazon Nov. 9th.

I love The Ruiner but wasn't too impressed with these songs. Not bad, but not particularly noteworthy either. I'll wait for next year's new Made Out Of Babies record for my Julie fix.

No, having checked it was Nov 2010. xpost I said I didn't nominate it because I was pretty sure it would get vetoed (I think Nate didn't nominate Rose Kemp for the same reasons, which I would have voted for, probably).

I dont know if anyone would have vetoed them tbh. But who knows, they weren't nominated so we will never know.

I love the Rose Kemp but it really isn't metal. The Julie Christmas I would have been cool with, and still am if people want to vote for it.

Staind sucks. The singer was a fugly guy who couldn't hit notes and when he tried to be emotional he sounded like he was trying to take a shit. Also the music was boring post-grunge pablum. I had a friend who was super into them and it was very hard for me to not make fun of him for it all the time.
