i'm pretty sure i saw a quote in a die antwoord-related wikipedia article from the one dude, ninja i think. it was a quote from a video but whoever transcribed it actually bothered to write the word "fucking" like "fokken" just because that is apparently "the preferred die antwoord way of spelling 'fucking.'"

fokken - apparently "the preferred die antwoord way of spelling 'fucking.'"
It's quite Dutch to spell it like that. (Fokken is both the cool & hip way to spell how you pronounce the English "fucking" in Dutch, and it is also a genuine Dutch verb that means "to breed" - so someone who foks dogs is actually a dog breeder who doesn't necessarily, er, nevermind)

die antwoord. yolandi's hooks are genuinely catchy and they are pretty bizarre in a way that is entertaining, they're a perfect youtube act. salem is just some boring self-serious garbage.

Hah, this was started last year on my fokken birthday. lol. I love'em. Probably because they partially rap in Zuid Afrikaans so it just sounds familiar and funny to my ears. I also love the whole "package" thing. The creepy videos, futuristic,... Also I can't resist Diplo, I really like what he does.
