Spencer Chow, Thursday, 15 November 2007 18:05 (sixteen years ago) link

I think the word 'tit' is most appropriate.

Kaliova, Thursday, 15 November 2007 18:14 (sixteen years ago) link

I didn't think I would be but I'm unfeasibly excited about this - trying for tickets for London and Glasgow.

Porkpie, Thursday, 15 November 2007 22:28 (sixteen years ago) link

A year and a half ago this news would have caused me to start screaming, quite literally -- zOMGGGGGGGG!!!!, etc. Now, though, as there is no possible way I can attend any of these shows... Wait. Maybe I can go to Coachella. Fucking hell. You see, I NEVER GOT TO SEE MBV! So YAAAAAAAAOOOOWWWW!

*cough* As you were.

This morning I found that the line "I worked for a while on a fishing boat right outside of Delacroix" can be sung along to Drive it all over me

badg, Thursday, 15 November 2007 23:35 (sixteen years ago) link

Just got tickets for the Manchester show - would it be poor form to wear my Loveless T-shirt from the last time they toured? It's a bit old and faded, and has a big hole in it - but still...

Bill A, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:05 (sixteen years ago) link

Surprise surprise, Seetickets has fallen over. This is like buying Glastonbury tickets all over again.

Matt DC, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:05 (sixteen years ago) link

stevie, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:08 (sixteen years ago) link

caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:08 (sixteen years ago) link

It had sold out by the time I could get into the website. Ah well.

Matt DC, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:09 (sixteen years ago) link

London show is sold out according to the website, just tried to get 2 tickets.. weirdly I just got an email confirmation addressed to a MR MRCARTNEY saying I had bought 4 tickets to the Manchester show though!

jonbat, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:11 (sixteen years ago) link

My friend tried to buy some and got this message for London:

caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:14 (sixteen years ago) link

Jonbat - I got exactly the same message as you - Mr McCartney, 4 Manchester tickets... I fear we're out of luck...

Kaliova, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:17 (sixteen years ago) link

Haha what a load of cack. I hope this Mr McCartney doesn't end up with thousands of tickets billed to him.

Matt DC, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:19 (sixteen years ago) link

Tickets going on ebay for mad money.

Touts are fucking cunts aren't they?

The Wayward Johnny B, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:20 (sixteen years ago) link

Utter utter bollocks. I got through at 8.59 but the bloke sent me packing. Impossible to connect their website from then on.

Daniel Giraffe, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:23 (sixteen years ago) link

...or their phone line

Daniel Giraffe, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:23 (sixteen years ago) link

Manchester sold out.

caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:24 (sixteen years ago) link

eBay sellers... 'I am a power seller'. No you're not. You are vermin and you need to be beaten to death.

Kaliova, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:25 (sixteen years ago) link

maybe they'll do a few nights in the style of the sonic youth daydream nation atp thing?

cw, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:27 (sixteen years ago) link

I just got a ticket for the barrowlands, took about 10 mins to get through. Just got my confirmation email, they better not start playing silly buggers and send me another saying it's sold out.

leigh, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:29 (sixteen years ago) link

I suspect more dates will be announced. Plenty of time - eight days! - between the London and Mcr shows.

Daniel Giraffe, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:29 (sixteen years ago) link

There is a rather convenient 1 week gap between London and Manchester I spy.

Chewshabadoo, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:29 (sixteen years ago) link

Yes, the Roundhouse apparently confirmed to someone on DiS over the phone that they were doing two other nights there.

However, I don't care about that because I managed to get tickets for the currently announced Roundhouse show before See fell over. And yes, my confirmation mail is in my own name.

aldo, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:29 (sixteen years ago) link

yeah, in the early 21st century it doesn't take a week to get from london to manchester.

Daniel Giraffe, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:45 (sixteen years ago) link

Haha.

Chewshabadoo, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:49 (sixteen years ago) link

Maybe they're just leaving a big gap between dates just so that they can extend You Made Me Realise for just a bit longer. That'll learn all y'all.

NickB, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:56 (sixteen years ago) link

I think they played it for like six fucking days the last time round.

NickB, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:57 (sixteen years ago) link

Maybe an ATP performance? They're being promoted by ATP concerts...

Neil S, Friday, 16 November 2007 09:59 (sixteen years ago) link

Ticketmaster.co.uk still has Manchester ones, if anyone's interested.

Alba, Friday, 16 November 2007 10:11 (sixteen years ago) link

(at least, I got through to the "We're holding these tickets just for you. Please complete this page within 2:00 minutes. After 2:00 minutes, the tickets we're holding will be released for others to buy." page).

Alba, Friday, 16 November 2007 10:12 (sixteen years ago) link

i just SEEM to have got tickets for london thru the roundhouse website, payment went through, haven't had confirmation email yet.

cw, Friday, 16 November 2007 10:44 (sixteen years ago) link

Just bought tickets for the Roundhouse.

Grandpont Genie, Friday, 16 November 2007 10:49 (sixteen years ago) link

So if you see some bloke outside the roundhouse with a ton of tickets and whistling "ebony and Ivory"....

Mark G, Friday, 16 November 2007 10:54 (sixteen years ago) link

Just been told on the roundhouse website that there are no tickets left

Daniel Giraffe, Friday, 16 November 2007 10:58 (sixteen years ago) link

I decided I didn't actually want to go *that* much and should probably let a more deserving case have a ticket instead of me.

But it's probably gone to a tout.

Matt DC, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:00 (sixteen years ago) link

Just bought two for Manchester from Ticketmaster. In the CIRCLE section apparently though.

jonbat, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:08 (sixteen years ago) link

Me too. Will be selling these if there are more London shows and I can get standing tickets.

caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:10 (sixteen years ago) link

[from atp website just now]

MORE LONDON SHOWS ADDED

The Friday June 20 show sold out lightning fast this morning, so we are pleased to announce that additional shows on Saturday June 21 and Sunday June 22 have now been added. Tickets will be available shortly at www.seetickets.com, www.wegottickets.com, www.gigantic.com and www.roundhouse.org.uk

This speed of this announcement stinks of carefully planned marketing but can you really blame those involved? And do I really want to go that much? I do kind of regret not going to see them at Whitley Bay Ice Rink in 1992.

myopic_void, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:44 (sixteen years ago) link

"shortly"?

caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:45 (sixteen years ago) link

hahaha.

pisces, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:48 (sixteen years ago) link

Tickets for the Friday still keep appearing and disappearing on gigantic.com. A part of me is saying 'walk away, don't get involved'.

myopic_void, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:49 (sixteen years ago) link

Phone seetickets. They're selling now!

caek, Friday, 16 November 2007 11:51 (sixteen years ago) link

For Saturday and Sunday, I mean.
