No no no, we were still on Fugazi. Fugazi featured the lovely vocal stylings of one Mr. Ian Mackaye, who spent a lot of time in DC with his pal Mr. Henry Rollins. Rollins moved to California to be in a big punk band. Another big California punk band was Offspring, who had a minor hit with "Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)". Guy was also the name of one of the members of...FUGAZI.

Fugazi did come out of DC as Mr. Sean said, and so did a whole bunch of other crap that we like to call 'Emo', which developed a fay little style that involves wearing glases like Buddy Holly (the artist). Weezer had a song called Buddy Holly, which was really not about Buddy Holly at all. But remember Emo and DC? The whole point of this thread was me agreeing with Mr. Sean that a band came out of DC called Fugazi.

On the Dischord label was a band called Jawbox, which jumped ship to be on Atlantic records -- home of some of the finest soul acts EVER including Aretha Franklin, Roberta Flack and Ray Charles. But it also had its share of total crap, including, but not limited to Yes, Zeppelin, Genesis, and man-whore Phil Collins, whose album, "No Jacket Required" begat the first Only Connect. Connections were made in that first thread, and Connection is a song by Elastica, who came and went so fast it made our collective heads spin right 'round like a record baby. I just alluded to Dead or Alive, and their minor hit "You Spin Me 'Round (Like a Record)" that was featured in The Wedding Singer, which starred Adam Sandler and a foxy-cute Drew Barrymore. Miss Drew was in Never Been Kissed, whose soundtrack featured songs from Jimmy Eat World. They released an album last year called "Bleed American" on Grand Royal records. It should be pointed out that Grand Royal has never released a good rock album, and that includes Public Places by Russel Simins. Simins plays stix for a little band called JSBX -- The "JS" stands for Jon Spencer, who was in Pussy Galore, a legendary band that really did nothing legendary, except come from DC. Just like FUGAZI.

Fugazi are a lovely little beat combo that ethan thinks are wack. I haven't seen ethan for a while and despite his dissing of them, I would like to say "Welcome Back!" Welcome Back Kotter was a TV show featuring Gabe Kaplan, and he had a fright wig on that was very similar to the luscious locks perpetrated on the world by Leo Sayer. Leo Johnston was one of the characters on Twin Peaks, a show which really kick-started the career of Julee Cruise, who later went on to join the B-52s. Another member of the B-52s was Fred Schneider, who released a solo album featuring recording work by Steve Albini. Albini has spent much of his recording life on the label Touch & Go, a label which has the same indie cache as another indie label, Dischord...home of FUGAZI.

Cheap Trick did 'I Want You To Want Me,' which was covered by Letters To Cleo, whose lead singer, Kay Hanley, was the singing voice of Josie in 'Josie And The Pussycats." Adam Duritz was one of the ghostwriters on the album, and his full-time project is the Counting Crows, whose last album was released on Geffen/Interscope/A&M -- A foul beast of a label that features Weezer. Weezer's old bassist, Matt Sharp, is in the Rentals, who had a minor hit with 'Friends of P." Pee Wee Herman is played by Paul Rubens, who now hosts "You Don't Know Jack." Billy Jack is a movie whose soundtrack had a song by Coven called "One Tin Soilder." Tin Machine was David Bowie's side project... from whatever it was he was doing. What Bowie WASN'T doing, however, was Ziggy Stardust or any of his old glam schtick. A very Glam act was Roxy Music. An album was recorded by The Buzzcocks at The Roxy. The Buzzcocks toured with Joy Division. Long Division is a song by FUGAZI

Help! We appear to be trapped in a moebius loop involving Fugazi! The concept of the Moebius is the basis of a song by Orbital. The Orbital is a big road that goes all the way around the outside of London. London is not only home to many fine bands, but it is also namechecked in songs and albums by bands from The Clash to Blur. Blur's guitarist, Graham Coxon, has recorded several solo albums which pay great homage to the hardcore punk aesthetic and guitar work of... ARGH!!! FUGAZI!!!

Zodiac Mindwarp sang "Feed my Frankenstein". "Frankenstein" was a song by New York Dolls. David Johansen of NY Dolls starred in "Car 54, where are you?". Studio 54 was a decadent niteclub in New York. It was also a shite movie with mike Myers but at least Sylvester's "You make me feel (mighty real)" was on the soundtrack.

One band that has been accused of being "big" is The Strokes. One of the kids on Diff'rent Strokes was Arnold. Gina Arnold is well-known for writing about shows she's never actually been at. There were many shows I wasn't at, like: Sonic Youth at the Guvernment. The government runs the country, and the country's theme song is "The Star Spangled Banner", written by Francis Scott Key.

That really depends what you mean by cheating, since the rules of Only Connect are fairly lax. Nonetheless, let's try this:
