What does surprise me is that I think I may have contributed one-third of the points that Neko got, and a good three-quarters of the points that Nina Nastasia got too.
I have eight of the total albums listed (nine if you include Kik Off), of which I voted for four.
But still. Eleventh. Coom on :)

No, Starbox is four previously released 12-inch records packaged together; Textstar picks and chooses from among those releases, and has about six (?) fewer tracks. All of the tracks on Textstar are on Starbox, I think, but they aren't the same thing.

(I'm the sap that wasted most of my votes on Lewis Taylor and Solomon Burke. Also, nobody else went for Cinematic Orchestra, The Boggs or the Rough Trade electronic compilation.)

― pfunkboy (Herman G. Neuname), Thursday, 15 April 2010 02:27 (fourteen years ago) link
Yeah but it's an insult from Whiney, it's almost an honor to have him recognize that, apparently, my tastes are different enough from his that it's worth pointing out. Glad to have my differences!
― I just wish he hadn't adopted the "ilxor" moniker (ilxor), Thursday, 15 April 2010 02:44 (fourteen years ago) link
Also, I'd love to see him ru down my list of albums with his opinions. I'm guessing we have at least some crossover in our tastes (hip hop, metal and whatever else), he's just not keen to admit it publicly and would rather hurl off a one-liner at me.
