I know exactly what you mean, I did what yr doing for ILX vol 3.

If you are doing a hard CD version, I have the details of the place I used, it produced some fine looking CDs.

Well, I finished it and it reeks. So: Mare, please - I'm gonna send it to you anyway, but if it's only fit for the outtakes pile, please leave it there & spare me the embarrassment, OK? Thanks.

For submissions it was agreed the deadline would be the end of this week, then I'll need a little while to formailse the text/tracklist and the sequencing then finish the artwork, plus I'm away from work most of next week, so if you push into the middle of next week, it's probably no biggie.

Any later than that and it might get a little sticky if we want to make this available as soon as possible.

damnit i have my track recorded in UK but i forgot to email it before i set off on a 6 week holiday so it's stuck at my computer at home but i don't have access to it until may 3rd. I might try and record something using this netbook and my sister's piano in hong kong... i can send something in on thursday... if that's ok??

my collaborator and I are locked in sophie's choice drama about which radically different mix to send but I will have something to you by this PM cuz frankly we are both tired of talking about it at this point

make a new version with one mix in the left stereo channel and the other in the right stereo channel

i have actually 2 different versions recorded on my computer in the UK too.. this actually solves my dilemma in a way. hopefully this netbook version will not be too late

XP - I guess it's a little late for strategic planning and focus groups, but I'd be very interested to hear both versions, I'm sure everyone else would too. As I said upthread, I am on holiday until the end of the week so I guess everyone has until Saturday.

BTW, some people have submitted band names and some not so when I lay out the tracklisting text I was intending to format it like this:

1. Bandname - Song Title (ILXHandle)

as well as

1. ILXHandle - Song Title

for those without a bandname.

Is this cool with everyone? I know it's a little clunky, but it being an ILX team effort I though peeps might like to know which ILXor was behind each track.

my band name is Scare Quotes but since it's just me you can credit it however you like
