Best wishes Tim - I know I hardly post here these days but I still admire and enjoy your writing as much now as I did 6 years ago, and I look forward to seeing you again in Europe sometime.

Get well soon and come back!

Hey everyone, Tim's sister just contacted me and they've already heard from the surgeon. Apparently the tumour is benign and although they were still operating at the time she emailed me, the tumour has been encapsulated and hasn't spread at all.
I've been in touch with Tim's sister a bit over the last couple of months and she's promised to keep me updated - because of where the tumour is Tim will have very limited use of his neck etc over the coming weeks, so he's unlikely to be at a computer for a while. Although he's not out of the woods just yet, the initial news is good. Tim's family has been following his lead and being very positive - will let you all know as and when I hear anything further.

The family is popping the champagne right now, so keeping everything crossed.

Huzzah for the good news! Get well soon, Tim. Like lots of folks have already said, I don't follow dance too closely, but I find your posts to be precious guideposts. I look forward to your speedy recovery and return!

Damn, I ignored this thread, my interest only piqued by the 70+ posts.
At least it seems clear that you'll be able to read my good wishes from the recent news when you've recovered. I'll raise a glass for a rapid and trouble free recovery this Christmas.

Hi everyone,
Wanted to let you all know that I am alive, at home and doing surprisingly well. If I'd known brain surgery could be so straightforward I might not have bothered to say anything! Should get confirmation today or tomorrow that everything's been taken care of. Thanks to all of you for your messages of support - it's been very much appreciated.

Hopefully the good news continues. I had a close friend go through this, and hopefully, like them, your main problem for 08 will be getting a decent hair cut. Good luck and get well.

hey tim,
we never got to know each other during my brief time on ilm, however, even tho our musical tastes never really overlapped, i always enjoyed yer posts and absolutely loved hearing yer thoughts. Even used to go to skylarking just to read yer prose even if i had no idea what artists/tracks you were writing abt.
Just saw the updates on this thread, so sorry you had to go thru all this shit but happy to see all seems well with you now. All my best wishes.
peace, love & coffee

just clocked this from being on holiday and bummer bout the tumour Tim, but glad it came right with a little help form the surgeon of course...
...any ideas what caused it, like too much puter radiation or frustration with people not digging on 2step garage til it was to late or others not knowing what the difference was ??? :)
