― Alex in SF, Monday, 17 September 2007 22:59 (eighteen years ago)
sven vath's carpet looks like it's swarming with roaches
― am0n, Monday, 17 September 2007 23:46 (eighteen years ago)
Steve Bug is as anal as you'd expect, Ame as middle class.
― Tim F, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 00:04 (eighteen years ago)
Jeez, this guy's record collection is like whoa.

^^^ this
― haitch, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 01:02 (eighteen years ago)
My goodness, Dominik Eulberg's room is great, it's 100% bedroom of 16 year old male, for some reason, the first thing that came to mind was that I half expected to see old Nirvana posters.
http://thelastbeat.com/img/2007/dominik_eulberg.jpg
And again, to the picture above, God, what a collection.
I want to see Afrika Bambataa's living room or something.
― mehlt, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 01:28 (eighteen years ago)
what on earth is the picture that makes up dixon's wallpaper?
― haitch, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 02:40 (eighteen years ago)
Looks like a lot of attic spaces in that bunch
― badg, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 02:47 (eighteen years ago)
This thread makes me sad.
― Mr. Goodman, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 02:55 (eighteen years ago)
hey tim is "middle class" australian code for "actually liveable and comfy and non-bachelorish"?
― moonship journey to baja, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 05:06 (eighteen years ago)
Ame's might be the only one that looks like an actual living room
― am0n, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 05:21 (eighteen years ago)
supposedly michael reinboth had to have his floors reinforced to take all that weight as his house was visibly cracking at the seams with the weight of 60 000 records.
― stirmonster, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 05:28 (eighteen years ago)
a sad sad man
― moonship journey to baja, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 05:34 (eighteen years ago)
no way all those records are good
― deej, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 07:01 (eighteen years ago)
"hey tim is "middle class" australian code for "actually liveable and comfy and non-bachelorish"?"
Yes! I wasn't trying to put them down. It's just that I had a sense that Ame's house was going to be nice and stylish but not self-consciously distinctive (a la Vath's, Hell's etc.). It looks like my living room!
― Tim F, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 08:13 (eighteen years ago)
i bet the sound in kohncke's is awesome. i noticed the soul jazz tom moulton comp sticking out of the record box, too.
― tricky, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 22:07 (eighteen years ago)
kohncke's looks like a very industrious hobo has fashioned himself a living space in a disused subway stop
eulberg's looks pretty much like what i expected from "the early 90s equivalent of these" i was talking about with matos up thread
― strongohulkington, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 22:18 (eighteen years ago)
he has a single bed and he's not ashamed of it.
― jed_, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 22:44 (eighteen years ago)
ame's is the only one i would want to be in
― elan, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 23:12 (eighteen years ago)
subway stop or bathhouse???
― tricky, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 23:31 (eighteen years ago)
<i>eulberg's looks pretty much like what i expected from "the early 90s equivalent of these" i was talking about with matos up thread</i>
this is spot-on except where's the SCHWA poster and the pot plant?
― moonship journey to baja, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 23:56 (eighteen years ago)
yes, Dominik Eulberg's room look's like mine when i was in highschool (minus all the records of course)
I'd like to see the rest of Villalobos' and Steve Bug's apartments
― Malcolm Money, Tuesday, 18 September 2007 23:56 (eighteen years ago)
I love this thread.
― roxymuzak, Wednesday, 19 September 2007 03:32 (eighteen years ago)

― moonship journey to baja, Thursday, 13 December 2007 22:07 (eighteen years ago)
I think that's more a result of living in England for the first 13 years of his life a la Slick Rick (While nonetheless someone like Ricardo moves to Germany at 3 and is touted as being Mr. Chile, but that's another story altogether).
― mehlt, Friday, 14 December 2007 14:56 (eighteen years ago)
I admit I haven't read the whole thread (just looked at the pretty pictures) but where was this originally - it looks like a magazine?
― Ned Trifle II, Friday, 14 December 2007 15:37 (eighteen years ago)
Yes it was a spread in Groove (groove.de) magazine.
― blunt, Friday, 14 December 2007 15:40 (eighteen years ago)
I thank you.
― Ned Trifle II, Friday, 14 December 2007 17:23 (eighteen years ago)
There's just something about DJ Hell having a weight bench ...
I actually searched up this thread a few days ago and made Ellen Allien's place my computer desktop!
― nabisco, Friday, 14 December 2007 17:34 (eighteen years ago)

― Stevie D, Sunday, 17 February 2008 16:00 (eighteen years ago)
Dunno, but it's bringing an extra 25,000 people a day since Friday.
― stet, Sunday, 17 February 2008 22:41 (eighteen years ago)

Hmmn, I found this:http://c3.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/110/l_2525c33d61e482a189ce1d4ed9f85236.jpg
