By the way, Stevie, I managed to order #2 from Banchory.net... almost a month after it originally came out! No bother though, I'm almost finished reading it (it's great as always - especially the Icarus Line interview), and prepared to go after #3!

Good work.

thanks JP! order #3 through the website, that'll be faster i'm sure - and yes, i think you can't order till the 19th, but it'll get rushed to you straight after.

No problem, I've already put a standing order on the only local bookstore that receives it, so it won't run out before I know it was released! ;)

#3 has the best illustrations we've managed yet - we put them on the review pages, and the people involved outdid themselves... the everett one makes me wee myself with laughter everytime i see it!

there's great columns from alex macpherson (The Lex)and Neil Kulkarni too!

i can't help but turn into a brazen saleman every time i think about the new issue.

is there any place i can get it in madrid?

joan vich (joan vich), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 10:15 (nineteen years ago) link

estelle is a good MC but shes taking the typical post-lauryn hill route of singing as awell as MCing. i hope the album isnt as predictable as '1980'.

splooge (thesplooge), Tuesday, 17 August 2004 10:38 (nineteen years ago) link

joan - i don't think we're selling through any outlets in madrid, i'd recommend ordering it via email.

just to say: we took receipt of all the mags today, so you can buy via the website as of now, or purchase from yr local record shop/HMV/Virgin etc etc etc... xxx

finally picked up an issue of this, the one with devendra on the cover. what a great looking magazine. very earnestly written, but i dont see that as a bad thing (or should loose lips have more amusing content?) but damn, this thing looks great.

Cor, The Saints.

Dr. C (Dr. C), Thursday, 18 November 2004 12:11 (nineteen years ago) link

the illustration for the saints piece is breath-taking, and ET's feature got me totally hooked on their second album...

I got the boxset this week - earthshaking after a good remastering job (at last!). ET OTM : 'Eternally Yours' is their masterpiece.

Dr. C (Dr. C), Thursday, 18 November 2004 13:15 (nineteen years ago) link

'This Perfect Day' - mmmm... played it on 6music the other week.
