Best Song Recorded Specifically For a Compilation

can't stand EWF :(

I am surprised that some of these were recorded for compilations (and have no idea what compilations they might have been recorded for). Another vote for "September."

ABBA were sorta robbed already at the nominations. I mean, "Fernando" and "Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!"

And actually "The Day Before You Came" and "Under Attack" too.

I might have voted for PSB's "Flamboyant" had it made the list (and had I seen the poll). Probably my favorite song of theirs from the past decade. Out of this list though, I would have thrown another point to EWF.

Were any of the exclusive dylan songs on the Greatest Hits packages written for the comps? Just curious, I wondered if just had them sitting around or something.
Incidentally, the Side Tracks set of nonlp stuff in the new Dylan box is fun as hell.

September is most fun at a wedding.

Yeah this song has never failed to get everyone out on the floor at any wedding I've been to. Went to my friend's wedding back in September, and I smiled a little when I realized "hey, we're dancing in September". But when I remembered that day was the 21st night of September, I went nuts and pointed it out to everyone like a grinning idiot.

I would have voted for “Watching the River Flow” (though it wasn’t “recorded specifically for a compilation”).
