(I try awfully hard to keep it to just writing about music (typically, it's other people quoted who are writing about music).

In periods of drought, be forewarned the reader will suffer my anecdotes.

My weblog is called zilverberg.tk and it's about music I like (alternative, indie and rock). I try to update it at least on a daily basis and I have personal charts and links to a lot of MP3's and I could go on for hours about how great it is, but you'll have to see it to believe it. Oh, and if anyone knows a cool or suitable name for it feel free to make suggestions.

I like it how putting this link on here has given me a steady stream of visitors, even tho most of them won't be able to understand what the hell I'm on about. Still, hey, you can figure out what music I've been listening to and what books I've been reading on that nifty sidebar!

I have a new online journal called Complicated Fun (complicatedfun.com). Read it and weep.

It's part of a circle called Twin Cities babelogue (babelogue.citypages.com), which really should link to Matos, Nate Patrin, Kate Sullivan et al...

Pete Scholtes, Wednesday, 23 April 2003 01:23 (twenty-one years ago) link

Obviously, at this point, your blogs would flatter us rather than vice versa...

Pete Scholtes, Wednesday, 23 April 2003 01:23 (twenty-one years ago) link

Ha! I suppose. I dig the URL ("I knew that song before the Target ad" says me at every opportunity 'cos I'm a Big Hits of Mid-America Volume Three double LP-havin' dork), and it looks entertaining enough for me to forgive Rapture-hate (though the screamin' ain't my favorite aspect of 'em anyways). Kapow! Bookmarked. I envy yr swingin' social life, though.

Now back to me me ME. I still have a blog. It's just elsewhere. Y'all probably know that.

Nate Patrin (Nate Patrin), Wednesday, 23 April 2003 01:47 (twenty-one years ago) link

So, I just started this a couple days ago: jaymc. Still very basic so far, but I'm hoping it will get me writing more regularly and less rambly than in my notebook-journal.

Dave Marsh joins City Pages! Still just getting started, though:

Woo! Gigantic is up and running.

http://www.giganticmag.com

Unfortunately, with all the madness of the last couple weeks and the actual designing and re-archiving of the site, I haven't written anything new. I'll see if I can't crank something out before bed.

In the meantime, please beta test it, and write me if it looks weird or fucks up or... whatever. Thanks.

Nice to see you back up and running.

slutsky (slutsky), Monday, 19 May 2003 04:41 (twenty-one years ago) link

oh but the links to other sites on the main page's sidebar don't work.

slutsky (slutsky), Monday, 19 May 2003 04:45 (twenty-one years ago) link

Yeah, I know. I'll fix it tomorrow. I spent so much time making sure it would be easy to update the links that I forgot to update the links.

Kenan Hebert (kenan), Monday, 19 May 2003 04:54 (twenty-one years ago) link

Okay, you have till tomorrow. But after that you're in big trouble, pal.

Headphones Save Lives is about a bit of everything. some music, other obsessions, and general randomness. was more personal at the beginning, but has moved into more random territory now.

also the sadly not-updated-as-often-as-i-should recipe log is called Licking the Spoon. which should hopefully have a couple new recipes in the next few days, now that things have slowed down a bit...

janni (janni), Tuesday, 20 May 2003 16:43 (twenty-one years ago) link

anyone know what the story with it is?

1. BLOGSPOT SERVERS have NOT been loading pages with reliability this week - try refresh.

2. I read sometime ago that putting a hyphen in blogspot address was a BAD idea as some ISPs were not connecting to said webpages for some technical reason, re: the iraq war blogspot [indeed blogspot itself duplicated the content of the URL to a non hyphen version to improve access]

DJ Martian (djmartian), Tuesday, 20 May 2003 19:15 (twenty-one years ago) link

They're shifting it to a new version of the blogger software - thus far mine's working OK and the archive's back up and working. wait and see.
