there's an old canard about Marvel being more realistic (set in NYC, deals with everyman angst) and DC off in goofball unrelatable superpowers land. I don't know how much of that is true today, but the names do seem to mesh well as evoking gritty realism for Marvel (i.e. good for rap names) and over-the-top fantasy for DC (good for strippers).
batman is a pretty good stripper name in the sense that catwoman is also a pretty good stripper name.fourth world names will always be problematic. would you rather see desaad do MC battle or strip?
