I could never quite grasp how much he was a fundie and how much he was going along with it for the benefits. Which is a pretty great representation of how Christianity spread through Europe.

I feel for Stannis on this one. Dude led the charge. Plus, I think we can all agree that there only is one god and he will return to us once we murder a punch of people and put our guy on the throne.

I loved that Stannis was the first up the ladder, while Joffrey was asking "What did my mother say? Did she say it was URGENT?" while a fucking army comes battering at your gate. Gone from hating Joffrey to just thinking he brings the lolz now.

i was really disappointed that he did not die last night. i haven't read the books, but I have to believe that boy's days are numbered, but now his fucking grandpa's there, so no idea where it'll go next.

There's some, like, dissonance between Joffrey's nerdy-kid vibe and every other actor on the show. His thing seems anachronistic, like a Magic card player who's been displaced. Not that I mind, really.

I love Tywin in the show, I was really happy when he finally appeared in this episode. In the books, he's just a cruel dick.
