Remember this film? Of course you do. Admit it's simply brilliant.

Can I just say this was filmed in my home town? Okay, I said it.

"Hello there ladies and gentlemen! Would you like to do a number with me?" What a great opening-credit sequence!

I thought you were talking about Over The Edge, the roleplaying game of surreal danger.

what is this film?

Wolfshirt. Is that outside of Denver? Did you ever take over the recreation center?

bryan, Monday, 24 June 2002 00:00 (twenty-three years ago)

i watched this movie last night!
this was written by the same guy as river's edge, right?

Inspired by this thread, my girlfriend and I have decided to conduct our own "disaffected youth vs. corrupt paternalistic society" film series this weekend. We just watched River's Edge & The Outsiders this past summer, so we're going with this, The Warriors (neither of which we have seen before), Battle Royale & Paranoid Park(neither of which she has seen). I know PP doesn't quite fit the criteria, but it's so good (my favorite film of the year, thusfar) that I'm willing to be flexible enough to allow it.

Watched this again last night. Holds up amazingly well -- this may just be one of my favorite movies, period.

Lengthy clip of this in the Kurt Cobain documentary--big influence on him. The clip was...a little hysterical? I love Kaplan's Heart Like a Wheel, so I'm sure it's a good movie.
