i dreamed the following over the last month:

dave q was teaching a course at evergreen on feminist theory.
starry sarah and i were dating, but we were going through a messy break up.
i played a free jazz set in london, which was poorly reviewed and i was desperate for no one to find out. (hah! like that would be a problem.)

I had this dream two nights ago that I was at some weird house with my ex boyfriend and his friend from Montreal, except I don't know what his friend actually looks like so in my mind apparently he's been physically replaced by Fred Solinger. So anyhow, I'm at this house and for some reason I'm in a bikini and my ex is being really weird and laughing like Tom Hulse in Amadeus, and his friend is hitting on me, but not like in a hitting on me way, more of in a mean way, like he's hitting on me but just to embarass me. Then he wouldn't like leave and for some reason we were trying to have sex but he wouldn't go away, so then he starts hitting on me again, then the ex is laughing like that again, and I'm like, okay, fuck this, I'm going to leave and just as I'm thinking this and getting really upset, my friend Jus calls me and is screaming at me, "We're at Potion! Where the fuck are you? Get your ass over here!" So I left for Potion, in my bikini.

Not that this has anything to do with ILX, but it's still a weird ass dream.

I've had a week of really odd dreams.

Sunday: Lots of different dreams, but all about horses Monday: Weird, there was an end of the world ball, I was supposed to be going, but said I'd get there later. I went to a kind of run down lido place instead. There were lots of pools looking over a lake. There were dead trees, all white, forming a screen in front of the lake, and they were full of children climbing and sitting in them like starlings. There were also a group of oldladies from Florida peddling about in gingham pedelos. When I got back to my friends the end of the world ball had finsihed, it only lasted 45 minutes. I had a long mostly boring dream just before I woke up this morning that I had to go to the local United Nations office (which doesn't exist, obv)and it was just a crappy little gov't office like where you would go to get your driver's license renewed or something. One of the employees called another woman in line "a dirty Jew" and I got into a huge fight with him and I said "This is a fine way for you people to act, no wonder the world's such a mess!" while I pointed out world trouble spots on a big weather-man map. Finally they apologized and put me on the phone with Morgan Freeman who told me that the offensive United Nations clerk would be fired. I felt guilty about getting him in trouble but figured he really shouldn't be working for the UN with that attitude anyway.

I told geeta this one but just before the Matos FAP I dreamed that geeta was having an arranged marriage. She was very happy and showed me her engagement ring. It was pretty, a ruby.

Previously I had dreamed that Jody Beth Rosen was the significant other of Mike Hanle y. I told Jody Beth that one at the Matos FAP also.

I had a dream last night but I can't remember what it was. I hardly ever remember them.

Last week, I dreamed about doing something kind of interesting, but I don't remember what that was, either. Except afterwards (still in the dream) I was telling someone I used to know about 1,000 years ago about it and they just didn't understand any of it and I was getting angry with them. Part of my explanation had something to do with Laurel & Hardy, which is really quite disturbing.

Also last week, I dreamed about someone being sexually/romantically interested in me, but it wasn't anyone I know and nothing actually happened. Obviously, the utterly surreal theme of this one made it pretty lucid. :)

about 4 days ago i had a bizarre dream, i thought about posting at ilm but this is just as good.

i was listening to the radio at work and it was this great song i'd never heard before, sounded like old orbital - brown album type caliber. and the dj comes on and says the song is by 'hitler'. yes the hitler, he went on to say hitler had faked his death at the end of ww2 and retired to his ultra-secret underground layer to work on his true passion and create the world best pop album.

it was a great song, really catchy bass line.

A couple of nights ago I dreamt I was at a party at some friend's house, and Ned turned up. In their back garden they had a square mudhole filled with water in which were floating some giant tubers that looked like decapitated torsoes and Ned produced an electric thing like a Machine Of The Future from the 50s which dried a square of it off for him to rest his feet on while he sat at the side.

We must have stayed up drinking all night because in the morning Ned was woken up in his survival food store bunker by his ride telling him he was leaving in 5 minutes to take him librarianing. This shocked Ned and he stumbled back into his honey shelf, covering himself in it, then staggered forward into his cereal store. He then just ambled about like a Burry Man made out of Cheerios complaining about his sore head.

(I have left out the non Ned parts such as lying to a small child about liking his Lego Star Wars collection and punching an old woman in the face after she hurled sectarian abuse at me because I wasn't going to Joe Ledley's disco in a scout hut.)

dreamt that both max and non-ilxor katie nonopolous were sent identical envelopes containing sheets of paper with a cryptic design on them along with traces of a mysterious power and they were taken as evidence as part of the ricin poison investigation.

turned out they were actually abandoned prototypes from the boards of canada album-hype campaign that were never intended to be sent our and the sheets of paper were actually paint-by-numbers and the powder was cocaine

OMG I forgot to mention the one I had the other night. Roxy was with me at my parents house and for some reason had to test the speakers on their stereo, except this involved not just an amp, but a bunch of amps, and a radio, and a boombox, and she sat there with a determined serious face playing some massive noise music and turning all the volume knobs up to 11 so it was insane loud and my mum was shouting WHAT ARE YOU DOING STOP THAT TURN IT OFF IT IS TOO LOUD and she ignored it and kept on crankin' the voluumes and tweaking all the dials :D

earlier this week i had some seriously distressing nightmares that totally put me into a bad place.
(details are not required ..)
having thought about it, i realised i had some cheese on ryvita as a late evening snack each evening.
so, last night i cut out the cheese - no nightmares.
is it for real the connection ?
i always assumed it was one of those 'myth' type of things.

Were they ilx nightmares?

I've recently been consuming large amounts of iced chamomile tea before bed. 4-5 cups, well-steeped, then poured over ice and taken to the head through a straw. Great vivid dreams, although after too many nights in a row of doing this, I started to get real lethargic the day after. Anyway, much better roi, dreamwise, than sitting around trying to choke down a cup of the hot stuff. I'll be sure to take note if I get any ilx dreams.

I like the sound of a red wheelbarrow!

I had an ilx dream too, I had to split a hotel room with a bunch of people incl Johnny Fever and something in the shampoo made my hair pretty much turn into straw & begin to break off. My husband's bed was on another side of a fabric partition but JF's was in the same as mine! Then he teased me about my accent - "could you pour me a glass of water?" had to be repeated twice before he would.
