Fuck! Just as I was writing that, the bell rang and it was Japanese Jehovah's Witnesses. Can you believe it? I thought I might have escaped Christian spam by coming to Japan but no, they handed me the fucking Watchtower in fucking Japanese!
Fucking spam!

EXTEND your meat pole
(I mean, really.)
But then I found this and a couple other related threads and realized I had something actually valuable to contribute! OMG!

Unfortunately the online article doesn't have the neat graph that was in the paper (Tuesday's if you still have it around) that shows a drastic rise in spam in just the last three months!
Brightmail, which makes spam-filtering software for corporate networks and big Internet providers, says that 45 percent of the e-mail it now sees is junk, up from 16 percent in January 2002. America Online says the amount of spam aimed at its 35 million customers has doubled since the beginning of this year and now approaches two billion messages a day, more than 70 percent of the messages AOL receives, not of those that it delivers to users. (AOL discards the messages it identifies as spam.)

fucking 15k attachments, I'm getting like 20 a day to my yaho_0 email. I've always been very lucky with spam, as in hardly getting any, so I'm not sure what to do. But I'm thinking change of address if this doesn't stop.

The kuci.org mail server is routed through gmail now and I gotta say their spam filters are brutally efficient. Haven't received one via the inbox in a long while now.

A little too efficient, sometimes...I have to check my work gmail's lint trap every now and then and retrieve legit mail that got caught.

I just deleted tons of spam from my gmail folder and one of the titles was a little mysterious, but it was gone before I could check out what they were trying to sell:
"my boyfriend's shaft is too big for my mouth"
are they selling mouth enlargement medication? penis shortening gel?

I got an e-mail today from a not-suspicious e-mail address, but from no one I knew.
"Subject: U SUCK!
I SAID U SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I've never gotten that one. Did you try googling parts or the whole of the address?
