Winifred Lenihan is lovely. Also, a rare example of a famous person without a wikipedia entry, leaving her life story unsullied by actual facts. I imagine her as a star of 20s Soviet propaganda posters, before disappearing in the South Pacific flying missions during WWII.

there's this picture of hepburn by Horst back when she was just starting out and she's all curled up in a chair all legs and arms and looking very modern and sophisticated -- i only saw it once at a gallery in chelsea that was selling vintage prints for god-knows how many thousands of dollars and I haven't seen it since.
